Alongside bassist Kevin Theseira and percussionist-vocalist-guitarist Zalila Lee, Az Samad explores different facets of Jazz in his trio. Usually seen playing steel string acoustic, Az plays his nylon-string guitar & electric guitar in this project. Performing originals & Jazz compositions by Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Steve Swallow  - The Az Samad Trio is an ongoing creative music adventure!

1. What is the Az Samad Trio?
We're an instrumental Jazz trio.

2. What kind of music do you play?

We play mostly instrumental Jazz & pop songs reimagined in a Jazz vein. Some songs are funky, some are groove-based, some are swing but all of the music is fun! 
 

3. Does someone sing in the band?

Zalila Lee been known to sing a song or two at our shows but for the most part we're mainly an instrumental band.
